Incredible beauty of amazing natural phenomena

Incredible natural phenomena do not cease to surprise us. On our planet, there are many beautiful corners of unearthly beauty, from the same species of which you are breathtaking. The Earth is much more amazing than you can imagine: some of its phenomena are so rare that you may have never heard of them, while they are fantastically beautiful. Want to make sure that? In this issue, we will tell you about the most amazing phenomena on planet Earth.

On one of the beaches in New Zealand, not far from the village of Sureaki, huge spherical stones were found. The unusual shape and size of the stones, which were called the “sea”, as the magnet attract tourists. Two -thirds of stones have a diameter of 1.5 to 2.2 meters, and the largest – 3 meters.
Moreaki stones consist mainly of dirt, silt and clay, which froze in spectacular calcite. According to legend, which lasts among local residents, these are the remains of pumpkins and tubers of sweet potatoes, which the sea was thrown ashore from the sinking canoeing of the native inhabitants of these lands.

The windshield, or fiery rainbow is a unique optical phenomenon, which is a horizontal rainbow. She appears in the sky when the sun's rays pierce ice crystals in cirrus clouds. In this case, the angle of inclination of the sun above the horizon should be more than 58 degrees. The refraction of light in such conditions makes the colors of the windshielderisontal arc cleaner than the colors of a conventional rainbow.
A fiery rainbow usually appears low above the horizon. Color arcs can be seen mainly in medium latitudes from May to August, only about 200 hours a year.
The vertical rays of light or light columns, leaving directly into the sky, look like something unearthly. This phenomenon arises when light is reflected from almost vertically falling ice crystals. As a rule, such beams of light can be observed when the sun is low above the horizon – immediately after sunrise or before sunset.
The waves flickering in blue can be seen very rarely and in just a few places in the world. The luminescent glow of water occurs due to the organisms living in it-plankton and algae. In the light of day, they look very plain, rather resemble a brown spot on the water. And at night, as a result of the biochemical processes taking place in them, a spectacular glow begins, from which you cannot tear your eyes off.
This is a beautiful and bewitching phenomenon, which can be seen mainly in the warm seas, where plankton and algae live with fluorescent properties live. In the photo you see how its author “bombarded” plankton with stones, and such beautiful luminous “explosions” turned out.
These frozen bubbles, reminiscent of champagne bubbles, are very beautiful, but very dangerous. You can meet them on the lake of Abraham in Canada, but we do not recommend going there for smokers, but all because the bubbles are not contained, but combustible gas – methane. If you pierce the bubble near the fire, it will explode, throwing it up the flame.
Do you know where methane came from in the bubbles? This is due to … bacteria. When the fallen leaves and dead animals fall to the bottom of the lake, bacteria feed on them, producing methane. And in contact with frozen water, methane is collected in white ice pockets.
Monarch’s butterflies are known for their mass migrations: hundreds of thousands of these insects from North America rush south, overcoming enormous distances to winter there. According to scientists, about 14 million individuals of this species arrive for wintering in Mexico.
Forests in which the monarch butterfly fly to the winter, from such an abundance of these creatures change their color from green to orange. In some parts, Mexico butterflies occupy an area of up to 8 hectares. It happened that under the weight of several thousand butterflies broke trees.
12. The phenomenon that you see in this photo arises when a tidal wave encounters water from a river or a bay flowing in the opposite direction. This happens in those places where the difference between the water level before and after the tide is more than 6 meters. In Europe, such a phenomenon can be observed in the UK and France.
Such a thunderstorm would be frightened by Zeus himself. This unusual phenomenon occurs only in Venezuela – in the place where the Catatumbo river flows into the Marakaibo lake. Such thunderstorms here are not uncommon: from 140 to 160 times a year form and can last up to 10 hours. For only one hour, about 280 lightning appears in the sky, which reach a length of 2 to 10 kilometers and even more. It is believed that the Venezuelan thunderstorm is the world's largest ozone generator. And flashes of lightning are visible from a distance of hundreds of kilometers, so the phenomenon is called the “Marakaibo Lighthouse”.
For many years, scientists have been trying to find out the reason for the formation of these unusual “magic circles” in the Namib desert in the south-west of Africa. The diameter of the circles can reach from 2 to 15 meters. The indigenous inhabitants of the desert believe that these gods leave traces, stepping on the ground. According to scientists, the most likely cause of magic circles in the desert is the life of the termites that feed on the roots of the grass and just “eat it out”.
