Digital Prosperity Awards honour global innovation in tech

The Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO) has announced the winners of the prestigious Digital Prosperity Awards at its 4th General Assembly, held in Jordan’s Dead Sea region.

The awards, aimed at recognising outstanding contributions to digital transformation, highlighted the efforts of governments, businesses, and civil society in driving economic progress through technology.

The ceremony, attended by high-level delegations from DCO’s 16 Member States, celebrated seven winners across three categories: Digital Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Empowering Society.

The flagship award for Digital Prosperity for All among DCO Member States was awarded to NeuroTech from Jordan, while SPARK from the Netherlands claimed the international award. Both winners received a prize of $200,000 each.

Among other winners, Saudi Arabia dominated the Digital Transformation category, with Tuwaiq Academy and the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Development recognised for their contributions.

Morocco’s National Institute of Innovation and Advanced Technology and Jordan’s NeuroTech were honoured for their impact on the environment, while Pakistan’s Motto Vest Trading Pvt won in the ethics category.

Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Chairman of the DCO, emphasised the importance of international cooperation in tackling global challenges.

“The Digital Prosperity Award represents a significant milestone in the journey of global digital transformation,” he said.

“Jordan takes pride in being part of these efforts to enable digital prosperity for all,” he added.

DCO Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya commended the winners and encouraged future participation.

“These awards celebrate those who are not just advancing technology but using it to drive economic growth and narrow the digital divide,” she stated.

The DCO, founded in 2020, represents 16 nations with a combined GDP of over $3.5 trillion and a population exceeding 800 million people, 70 per cent of whom are under the age of 35.

Through initiatives like the Digital Prosperity Awards, the organisation continues to foster an inclusive and sustainable digital economy for all.
