Doctor Mozzhukhina spoke about measures to prevent stroke
Neurologist at the Lyubertsy Regional Hospital Natalia Mozzhukhina spoke about measures to prevent stroke.
“You need to check your blood pressure and cholesterol levels more often, and monitor your sugar levels,” the expert said in an interview with Radio 1.
According to the specialist, strokes occur 2.5 times more often in people with diabetes.
Smoking also causes vascular spasm and reduces blood circulation in the brain.
“Every person should spend at least two or two and a half hours a day on physical activity. The diet should include more vegetables and fruits,” the doctor added.
Earlier, Pavel Khoroshev, a neurologist at the Military Medical Academy, spoke about ways to help a person with a stroke.
