Doctor Burnatskaya gave recommendations for compiling a first aid kit

Svetlana Burnatskaya, a therapist at Academician Roitberg’s clinic “Medicine”, recommended preparing a first aid kit in the fall, taking into account the age and needs of all family members.

The first aid kit should contain antiseptics: peroxide, iodine, brilliant green, chlorhexidine and miramistin, as well as cotton wool, bandages and several types of plasters, she shared in an interview with Life.ru.

“It also wouldn’t hurt to use a spray containing lidocaine to relieve pain from sprains or bruises, as well as a panthenol-based product for burns, which alleviates pain and helps healing,” explains Burnatskaya.

In addition, the first aid kit should contain painkillers and antipyretics (paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin), as well as antispasmodics and anti-poisoning agents. The first aid kit should include medications for seasonal colds and allergies, the doctor concluded.

Previously, Professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Russian National Research Medical University named after Pirogov, Dr. n. Nina Kiseleva spoke about the peculiarities of taking painkillers – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
