Nutritionist Koroleva called breakfast one of the most important meals
Nutritionist Margarita Koroleva said that breakfast is one of the most important meals.
“We sleep at night, but our body works. In the morning we wake up and there is no energy. In the first hour after waking up, it is important to have breakfast. Breakfast is one of the main meals; it is the one that starts the metabolic clock for the next day,” she said in an interview with NSN.
According to her, a person who does not have breakfast on time will have a lower metabolic rate.
As Koroleva noted, it is important to eat in the first hour after waking up.
In turn, Olga Grigoryan, Candidate of Medical Sciences, leading researcher at the Research Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, in a conversation with the radio station “Moscow Speaks”, spoke about the advisability of drinking coffee in the morning.
“Drinking coffee instead of breakfast is a fairly common habit. There was a fashion, there were many examples around, that the day begins with a cup of coffee. Nutritionists don’t mind, because in general you need to evaluate your health. Classically, of course, you have to have breakfast in the morning,” she said.
She added that mixed breakfasts, combining proteins and complex carbohydrates, are best.
Earlier, nutritionist, doctor of medical sciences Mariyat Mukhina listed foods that, due to blood thickening, can provoke the formation of blood clots. These include alcohol, coffee, sweets, salty foods and foods with vitamin K.
