Pediatrician, doctor of the highest category, head of the field service of the Fantasy children's clinic Vyacheslav Fetiskin spoke about the consequences of vitamin D deficiency in a child.

“Rickets is a manifestation of severe and persistent vitamin D deficiency. This disease most often occurs in children between the ages of two months and two years,” he said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.

According to him, as a result, a disruption in the formation of bone tissue may occur, and the nervous and digestive systems also suffer.

As Fetiskin added, the reversibility of the condition depends on the stage of the disease and compliance with the pediatrician’s recommendations.

Earlier, nutritionist Anna Belousova, in a conversation with NSN, spoke about products that support heart and vascular health. According to her, first of all it is plant fiber.
