Therapist Kondrakhin: dry air in an apartment negatively affects health
Therapist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Andrei Kondrakhin said that dry air in an apartment negatively affects health.
“Due to dry air, a person experiences dry skin, mucous membranes, and hair. Heavy breathing may appear because we spend a lot of energy to moisten the dry air with our lungs,” he said in a conversation with the Moscow 24 website.
As Kondrakhin noted, it is important to open the windows for 5 – 7 minutes at least once an hour. It is also recommended to humidify the air.
According to the doctor, optimal humidity is considered to be above 40%.
Previously, doctor and allergist-immunologist Vladimir Bolibok, in a conversation with NSN, recommended that people with chronic diseases be vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
