Nutritionist Binatova: garlic and green tea improve the condition of blood vessels

Endocrinologist and nutritionist at the SM Clinic Elvina Binatova spoke about foods that should be consumed to prevent vascular diseases.

One of them is red yeast rice, the consumption of which reduces cholesterol levels, she noted in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.

Garlic extract, which also has antioxidant properties, also helps reduce cholesterol levels, Binatova said.

According to the nutritionist, some drinks also have a beneficial effect on the condition of blood vessels, in particular some types of coffee and green tea, as well as some seasonings such as cinnamon and turmeric.

In addition, substances contained in grapes, salmon, tomatoes and pomegranate help fight inflammation and atherosclerotic processes, improving the lipid profile, the doctor added.

Earlier, nutritionist Anna Belousova, in a conversation with NSN, spoke about products that support heart and vascular health. According to her, first of all, it is plant fiber.
