Doctor Romanenko spoke about the impact of smog on health

Elena Romanenko, an allergist-immunologist at the OKB advisory clinic, spoke about the impact of smog on human health.

“With regular, frequent and intense exposure, headaches, fatigue, weakness, and sleep disturbance will appear,” the expert said in an interview with gorod55.ru.

According to the expert, people with chronic diseases suffer the most from smog. They experience attacks of suffocation, increased shortness of breath, and frequent relapses of respiratory diseases.

“Patients with an allergic genesis of these diseases suffer significantly, because the suspension of smog particles contains various allergens depending on the season; the smog particles themselves “disorient” the work of the immune system, increasing its activity specifically in the direction of allergic reactions,” the doctor added.

Earlier, an expert on the Doctor TV channel, therapist Irina Nikulina, spoke about ways to combat seasonal allergies.
