These procedures are not recommended for people with venous diseases, since under the influence of heat the blood supply in the saphenous veins increases and they themselves increase in volume, the expert said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru.
According to the specialist, massage is also contraindicated in severe forms of varicose veins.
“However, in the initial forms, performing manual lymphatic drainage techniques leads to a reduction in swelling and symptoms,” the doctor noted.
