SHOT: a child who caught the virus in Belek developed rashes in the mouth
A child who, among other tourists, caught the virus at a hotel in the Turkish resort city of Belek, complained of a strange rash in his mouth.
As the SHOT Telegram channel reported, severe rashes on the child’s legs, arms and mouth appeared on the second day of illness.
“The symptoms are very similar to the Coxsackie virus, although doctors previously made a preliminary diagnosis: acute upper respiratory tract infection,” the report states.
Earlier, Olga Ulankina, an expert doctor at the Gemotest laboratory, in a conversation with RT, called viral pemphigus of the mouth and extremities one of the symptoms of the Coxsackie virus.
