Nutritionist Moisenko: imitation caviar has no benefits for the body
The chief physician of the Rimmarita clinic, nutritionist, doctor of preventive integrative medicine, candidate of medical sciences, Rimma Moisenko, stated that imitation caviar has no benefit for the body.
“Real caviar has vitamin A, vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and all the antioxidants. There is a protein that contains all the essential amino acids. But imitation caviar, unfortunately, today cannot boast of this: there is no protein, no amino acids, no vitamins A, E, D,” she said in an interview with Radio 1.
As Moisenko noted, the composition of the simulated caviar includes sodium alginate. This is a kind of mix of caviar juice, dyes and a lot of salt.
“Unfortunately, such caviar does not enrich it with vitamins and microelements that real caviar contains,” the expert added.
Earlier, SM-Clinic gastroenterologist Valeria Lomova spoke about foods that are harmful to liver health.
