The Palestinian surgeon was held in an Israeli prison for more than six months without charge and tortured.
The doctor Al Serra himself spoke about this in an interview with RT – in March 2024, he, along with all the employees of the hospital in Khan Yunis, was arrested by IDF soldiers.
According to the surgeon, during interrogations the Israelis tried to find out what he did after October 7, 2023. In prison he was forbidden to help other prisoners.
“Oppression and humiliation of everyone – from verbal and psychological violence to the use of physical violence, and sometimes even sexual. I have seen such actions with my own eyes,” he said.
All this time, the doctor’s relatives did not know about his whereabouts. Al Serra was released without charge.
Earlier, the Israeli army announced the release of four hostages from the Gaza Strip, including Russian Andrei Kozlov. Those released are in good condition.
