Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov said that it is impossible to become infected with viral hepatitis through a mosquito bite.
He said this on the air of the program “About the Most Important Thing” on the channel “Russia 1”.
Myasnikov was asked whether it is possible to become infected with hepatitis through a mosquito bite.
“Not with viral hepatitis, just like no with HIV and so on,” the doctor said.
Insects are also capable of carrying other dangerous diseases, such as malaria, he recalled.
