IRNA: Iran will launch satellites into orbit by the end of March 2025
Iran will launch three locally produced remote sensing satellites into orbit by the end of March 2025. This was reported by IRNA with reference to the head of the Iranian space agency Hassan Salariyeh.
He emphasized that remote sensing satellites will be launched into orbit before March 20, 2025.
The publication emphasizes that the Kosvar, Tolo-3 and Zafar-2 satellites will be sent into orbit. A system consisting of them will provide the ability to receive and transmit data to facilitate decision-making during natural disasters, especially where ground infrastructure does not function.
In September, it was reported that the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) successfully launched a research satellite called Chamran-1 into orbit. The launch was carried out by a Qaem-100 launch vehicle.
The satellite was developed by several Iranian companies and has a mass of about 60 kg. It was raised to an altitude of 550 km above the Earth and after a few hours began transmitting the first signals.
