Nobel Prize in Physics awarded for discoveries in the field of neural networks
The Nobel Prize in Physics in 2024 was awarded to scientists John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton for their discoveries that enable machine learning using artificial neural networks.
This was announced by the Nobel Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Earlier it became known that the Nobel Prize in Medicine will be awarded for the discovery of microRNA molecules that regulate the functioning of genes.
Alexander Reznik, a geneticist at the Hadassah Clinic (Moscow), in a conversation with RT, said that in the future microRNA molecules can be used as therapeutic agents in oncology.
