Apple and Google have restored Tiktok in their US users stores
The Apple Apple and Google Play online stores have restored Tiktok for users in the United States after blocking. It is reported by Bloomberg.
The publication notes that the application was restored after a letter with guarantees from the US Prosecutor General Pam Bondi that the ban on the social network would not be fulfilled immediately.
The agency emphasizes that there are still no guarantees that the application will continue to work in the United States in the long run.
Prior to this, The Washington Post wrote that the owner of Tiktok was delaying negotiations on sale against the background of American duties.
On January 19, Tiktok was blocked in the United States. The service disappeared from the Apple store, and when trying to enter the application itself, an announcement appeared: “The law prohibiting Tiktok entered into force in the United States.” However, after 12 hours, it again earned after the promise of President Donald Trump to restore the service.
Having taken office, Trump signed a decree on Tiktok, which postpones the introduction of a ban on social network for 75 days. The document provides that the platform will be able to continue working in the United States if 50% of the video service is sold to American investors.
