Tech Talks event coming to Nicosia
Inspired by Google’s Tech Talks initiative, a new event in Nicosia will focus on technology and its fast development. Organised by a group of companies and organisations (Pale Blue, QBeat Technologies, Deloitte Cyprus and Google Developer Group Cyprus), the event will host two presenters discussing tech-related topics, exchanging innovative ideas. Taking place on October 7, at Deloitte Cyprus, the evening is open to all, not just tech gurus.
Tech Talks #4 will kick off at 7pm with the first presentation starting at 7.30pm. First to take the floor will be CEO and co-founder of Intellectra Technologies Michalis Kyriacou who will talk about Navigating the Wireless Threat Landscape: Myths and Realities. “In today’s hyper-connected world, wireless technology has become an indispensable part of our lives and businesses. However, this increased reliance on wireless networks has also made us vulnerable to a growing array of cyber threats. This talk will debunk common myths about wireless security, with a focus on cellular IoT networks and 5G, explore the latest trends and emerging threats, and provide practical advice for building a resilient wireless infrastructure,” say organisers.
The second and final talk of the evening will be by Georgios Frangoulis, a software developer at HF Markets. With the title Asynchronous Programming in Python, his talk will be a little more specific, touching on coroutines, IOLoop, concurrency VS parallelism, FastAPI and tornado paradigms, giving hands-on examples. After the two 30-minute talks finish, participants will be able to mingle and network and talk all things tech.
