MacRumors: Apple released iOS 18.0.1 with known bug fixes

Apple has released the first updates for the iOS and iPadOS operating systems – iOS 18.0.1 and iPadOS 18.0.1. This was reported by the MacRumors portal.

The update was released two weeks after the release of the first stable build of iOS 18. The new iOS 18.0.1 fixes incorrect operation of the touch screen on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, camera freezing when recording 4K video with HDR disabled on the ultra-wide-angle camera of the iPhone 16 Pro, as well as The Messages app crashes when replying to SMS.

Previously, some users of the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max complained about the periodic lack of response of the screens to touches.

Owners of compatible iPhones and iPads can download the update by going to “Settings” – “General” – “Software Update”.

iOS 18 is the eighteenth version of the mobile operating system developed by Apple for the iPhone. It was presented on June 10 at WWDC 2024 and became available to all users on September 16. The new iOS 18 is compatible with iPhone Xs, XR, iPhone 11 and more current models.
