The Arc Search AI browser with answers to search queries has become available on Android
The Arc Search browser with built-in artificial intelligence has become available to Android users. Rozetked reports this.
Arc Search is available in the Google Play store as part of open beta testing. The key difference of the application is the “smart search” Browse for Me, which offers full answers in the form of web pages instead of traditional links. However, users can use standard search methods.
The developers believe that, for example, when searching for a recipe, the user often has to look through a lot of materials before finding the information they need. AI-powered Browse for Me helps reduce unnecessary information and delivers only relevant results. However, this approach is subject to criticism, since sites whose texts are used to compile the summary will then lose traffic and visitors, and therefore income.
Other Arc Search features include removing ads and trackers, translating text using Google Translate, saving passwords, and automatically archiving tabs to save resources.
Previously, Arc Search was available on Android in closed beta. iPhone, Mac and Windows users have been able to use a stable version of the browser for a long time.
