Prodigy Education: gamers are more financially successful than people who are not interested in games
People who are interested in video games are more successful than those who are not interested in them. This was reported by Prodigy Education with reference to a study.
Thus, 89% of Americans surveyed by the company played video games as children. However, 71% of them were more likely to be promoted at work and earned an average of $5,451 more per year compared to those who did not play games as teenagers.
The study also found that the highest earners preferred to play on the PlayStation console, earning an average of $62,000 per year, which is 12% more than PC users. The highest incomes were observed among fans of the FIFA game – an average of $70 thousand per year.
Computer games help develop strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, hand-eye coordination and creativity. They are also a source of relaxation and improve your mood.
Scientists recommend that children and adults spend no more than an hour a day playing games to avoid negative consequences. Research shows that children who play for about an hour a day have higher IQs, fewer mental health problems and perform better on cognitive tests.
