9To5Mac: It takes about two hours to fully charge the iPad mini 7
The charging speed of the new iPad mini 7 is limited to 20W, which is no different from its predecessor. This means the device will take about an hour to charge to 70% and about two hours to fully charge, which is significantly slower than some Android tablets. This was reported by 9To5Mac.
As a reminder, the latest iPad mini is more of a minor upgrade over the mini 6, even after three years. The device has not become smaller or lighter, nor has it received any design improvements. Battery life remains unchanged, the camera remains the same, except for a small upgrade from Smart HDR 3 to 4th generation. The display has also remained unchanged.
While Apple typically doesn't reveal specifications such as battery capacity or charging speed, the new 7th generation iPad Mini has passed 3C certification, revealing the details identified. The 3C registry states that the Apple iPad mini (2024) A2996 will only support 20W fast charging.
