Former Rockstar Games game designer Ben Hinchliffe, who worked on GTA VI before founding his own studio Just Add Water Development, shared his expectations for the new game. In the GTAVIoclock podcast, Hinchliffe talked about what impresses him most about GTA VI and suggested that fans will be amazed by the evolution of the game's realism compared to previous Rockstar titles. Hinchliffe expressed his admiration for how much the game has changed since he left Rockstar. He also suggested that fans would be surprised by the game's increased realism. The increased level of realism, which will extend to most aspects of the game, was highlighted by the developer as the most impressive feature of GTA VI.
The former Rockstar employee is also confident that GTA VI will sell in huge numbers. In addition, he expects that the new product will become the most discussed in the world for many years, as was the case with GTA V at one time.
“I really want people to just play something new because Rockstar has raised the bar again. These developers have always done it before and will do it again with GTA VI,” he said.
GTA VI is expected to be released in 2025. The release is expected at least on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X.
