Four Siberian regions experienced Internet disruptions due to hackers

The Sibset provider was subjected to a powerful and prolonged DDoS attack, as a result of which several regions of the Siberian Federal District (SFO) were affected. This was reported on the company’s official page on the VKontakte social network.

According to the company, the attack spread to all branches, including Altai, Krasnoyarsk and Kemerovo. Users were warned that due to the incident they may experience limited access to services, slower Internet speeds and unstable operation of intercoms.

The hacker attack was recorded on the morning of November 2. The attackers sent a huge number of requests to the company’s services and websites, that is, they organized a DDoS attack, which led to overloading of the servers and their failure. The Novosibirsk branch was the first to be attacked, and then the Novokuznetsk branch.

At the time of writing the news, Sibnetworks reported on social networks that the consequences of the hacker attack had been partially eliminated. The company managed to restore the ability to make payments through your personal account and mobile application.
