Cyprus to offer free digital skills training

The Cyprus Productivity Centre (CPC) announced on Tuesday that it is organising a series of free digital skills training programmes.

The programmes, which are open to everyone, will run from January to May this year.

According to the CPC, the training programmes will cover a range of topics, including useful applications of artificial intelligence, e-governance in Cyprus, and creating and managing websites and e-shops.

Other topics include office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computerised accounting using PowerSoft365, and statistical data analysis with Microsoft Excel.

The announcement also mentioned that these programmes are funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, under Cyprus’ national Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Interested participants can apply online via the CPC’s website at www.e-gnosis.gov.cy/training/eskills.

Alternatively, they can contact the CPC offices in Nicosia, Limassol, or Larnaca at 22806196, 25873588, and 24812350, respectively.

It should be noted that the European Commission has long promoted digital skills development across the EU.

Initiatives like the Digital Europe Programme and the EU Skills Agenda aim to bridge the digital divide, upskill the workforce, and foster a competitive digital economy.
