Senator Kovitidi Calls Trump-Harris Debate a Political Show
Senator and member of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Olga Kovitidi, in an interview with RT, assessed the debates between US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
According to the senator, it was another political show “with elements of a bad boxing match, with Trump’s dull defense and Harris’s periodic attacks, without a knockout or bright political combinations.”
“It is obvious that Harris's home-made preparations and Trump's usual improvisations are unable to hide the true mood of the American political class – this is war. America is systematically being drawn into the war in Ukraine, which Harris openly stated, admitting the presence of American funding and American mercenaries in Ukraine. The Democrats intend to fight in Ukraine and contain China. How Harris will manage to do this is another question,” Kovitidi emphasized.
According to her, slogans and theses about abortion, migration and the economy are a smokescreen “covering up the true goals.”
“War writes off everything and dissolves all problems. The reluctance of the Democratic presidential candidate to acknowledge all the risks of a possible global nuclear conflict is an extremely alarming signal for the world community,” the RT interlocutor noted.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the debate between Trump and Harris another show.
