Blinken: NATO countries have made it clear that Ukraine's accession to the alliance is inevitable

Ukraine's membership in NATO is inevitable, the member countries of the alliance have made this clear. This statement was made by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

According to his words, voiced during a press conference in Kyiv, Ukraine is already “following this path.”

“NATO countries met and made it clear that Ukraine's accession to NATO is inevitable, and Ukraine is now following this path,” RIA Novosti quotes Blinken as saying.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance's member countries condemn Kiev's use of long-range missiles during the conflict.

In July, US Senator Rand Paul called the promise of NATO membership to Ukraine the worst decision the US had ever made.
