Telegraph: Chinese electric cars have a chance to push Western brands out of the market
Electric cars made in China are becoming increasingly popular around the world. They have a chance to push major Western brands out of the market.
As The Telegraph reports, Chinese manufacturers are also benefiting from British laws, which require zero-emission vehicles to account for at least 22% of cars sold in the country. By 2030, this requirement will gradually increase to 80%.
“Their (Chinese – RT) cars are cheap enough for the industry to pose a serious threat to its European and American colleagues,” the article states.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Europe is losing out to the US and China in the production of electric vehicles.
