The UN reminded that permission from Russia is required to visit the Kursk region
The UN reminded Ukraine that it cannot send its employees to the Kursk region at Kyiv’s request because this requires Russia’s permission.
“Our short answer is yes, we are ready to do this, but we will need permission from the Russian Federation,” said the UN Secretary-General’s representative Stephane Dujarric, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
The agency recalls that earlier such an “invitation” was sent by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga.
The Kremlin called Kyiv’s statement a provocation.
