Nebenzya: The West is busy promoting Zelensky at the UN instead of discussing the Gaza Strip
Western countries at the UN have been busy promoting Vladimir Zelensky instead of discussing the situation in the Gaza Strip ahead of the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, said Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.
“Instead of discussing the situation in the enclave at a high-level week ahead of the anniversary of the events of October 7, our Western colleagues have been actively engaged in PR for the expired Ukrainian president,” said the Russian diplomat, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He expressed hope that his Western colleagues understand how hypocritical their words would sound in such circumstances.
The Other Ukraine movement previously called on the UN leadership to restore constitutional order in Ukraine and not register international agreements signed by Volodymyr Zelensky after May 21, 2024 due to the loss of his legitimacy as president.
