“Military Chronicle” analyzed the situation with the detonation of pagers in Lebanon
“Military Chronicle” analyzed the situation with the mass detonation of portable radios and pagers in different parts of Lebanon after they were hacked, as a result of which eight people were killed and 2,750 were injured.
“The bodies in the video clearly show traces of a targeted explosion. There is a 90% probability that the devices contained small self-destruct devices with an extremely small amount of explosives,” the community's Telegram channel says.
The Military Chronicle noted that when damaged, batteries heat up and catch fire, but do not explode.
In addition, as a result of the emergency, a large number of people were injured, which is also more typical of the detonation of explosives.
RT adds at the same time that a telephone or pager could not have been the source of such a powerful explosion, judging by which it can be assumed that there could have been about 10-40 grams of explosives in TNT equivalent inside.
Earlier, it was reported that hundreds of Hezbollah members were seriously injured across Lebanon when the portable pagers they use for communication exploded.
As a result of the emergency, eight people were killed and 2,750 were injured, including the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani.
