Volodin: Sabotage on Nord Streams was a blow to the German economy

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated that sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines was a blow to the German economy.

“This is all a consequence of the policy that the Scholz are pursuing in relation to the Russian Federation, which supplied cheap energy resources to Germany. And it was precisely due to these energy resources that the German economy was competitive,” Volodin noted in an interview with Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda.

According to him, key companies are currently leaving Germany, since Germany no longer has advantages.

“The Nord Stream was blown up in their area of responsibility, and they are afraid to express their position regarding what happened. And this is a blow to their economy, this is a blow to their security, this is a challenge,” the kp.ru website quotes Volodin as saying.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski couldn't help but laugh when talking to pranksters Vovan and Lexus about the bombing of Nord Stream. He called the sabotage “excellent work” and also noted that the Americans knew about the operation in advance and didn't stop it.
