State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that US President Joe Biden's decisions could lead to the greatest tragedy.
“In any case, he is leaving. And the decisions that he is discussing today, this could all lead to the greatest tragedy,” Volodin said in an interview with Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda.
According to him, talk of using Western weapons to strike deep into Russia could lead to an immediate and harsh response from Moscow.
As Volodin added, Western countries need to conduct a dialogue among state leaders about the unacceptability of such decisions, the website kp.ru reports.
Earlier, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the US State Department had nothing to announce on the issue of lifting restrictions on Ukrainian long-range strikes deep into Russia following contacts between President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
