Al Mayadeen: Explosives in pagers could not be detected in advance

The explosives in the pagers that detonated in Lebanon could not have been detected in advance.

Al Mayadeen TV channel writes about this.

According to the TV channel’s sources, “advanced technologies” and special explosives that cannot be detected during inspections were used to detonate the pagers.

“The explosive was aimed at destroying, especially those devices that were hanging on the belt, so that the blast wave would hit the body directly,” the TV channel's sources said.

According to Al Mayadeen's sources, the explosives were planted in the pagers by agents of Israeli military intelligence and the foreign intelligence service MOSSAD.

It is noted that at a certain time, the pagers received a “special message that, after four seconds, caused the device to detonate, regardless of whether the pager owner opened the message or not.”

CNN previously reported that Israel had notified the US of a planned operation in Lebanon, but did not share details.
