US Senator Mark Warner commented on RT's activities during hearings on foreign threats to US elections.
“For the past eight weeks, we have witnessed a covert influence project carried out by RT to fund unsuspecting US political leaders speaking on YouTube. We have witnessed a large-scale Russian campaign,” he said.
Warner also thanked Meta* for its decision to remove RT accounts from its platforms and for sharing information about Russia's “activities” on the platform.
* Meta is the owner of Facebook and Instagram, its activities are recognized as extremist and are prohibited in Russia by the decision of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow dated 03/21/2022.
