Analyst on EP resolution on strikes against Russia: This call will not change anything

The editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, military analyst Igor Korotchenko, commenting on the adoption by the European Parliament of a resolution calling on EU countries to immediately lift all restrictions on Kyiv’s strikes deep into Russia, emphasized in a conversation with RT that this document will not change anything.

“This resolution will not change anything, because the European Parliament is a gathering of Russophobic freaks who adopt all sorts of resolutions, often with zero effect,” the expert explained.

According to him, decisions regarding the use of Western weapons systems against Russia will be made by the military-political leadership of specific states, with the US and Great Britain playing a decisive role.

“As for the freaks in the European Parliament, they can perform collective dances with the same effect. It doesn't affect anything, except for the continuous production of negativity and spoiling the air,” RT's interlocutor believes.

Speaking about what missiles could be used to carry out strikes, Korotchenko mentioned ATACMS, JASSM, or Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG.

“Objects: the most important objects from the infrastructural and military point of view. We do not need to wait until they start hitting us. We need to disconnect Ukraine from the electricity ourselves now. A country plunged into complete darkness, disconnected from the socket – it will not be able to strike us. The question will be to at least ensure the survival of the regime. Therefore, we need to work ahead of the curve and not wait until they start hitting us,” the analyst concluded.

Earlier it became known that the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on EU countries to immediately lift all restrictions on Kyiv’s strikes deep into Russia.
