Ryabkov: US foreign policy arsenal now only includes sanctions and threats
Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov commented on the US plans to tighten sanctions against Russian oil supplies.
According to Ryabkov, Washington’s measures are yet another element of political and psychological pressure on Russian business.
“There is nothing left in the US foreign policy arsenal except sanctions, threats, pressure. This is a reflection of a completely decomposed system that will eventually collapse,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Ryabkov noted that key links in Russia’s energy sector have long been under sanctions, but these restrictions are illegitimate.
Earlier, the White House announced that Washington intends to further tighten sanctions against Russian oil.
