Russia does not want an escalation of the conflict with the West, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“There is no escalation,” he told Sky News Arabia.
Lavrov noted that for several months there has been a discussion about how Russia only “threatens” and talks about “red lines” that the West crosses every time, after which nothing happens.
Earlier, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Alexei Chepa, stated in a conversation with RT that the threat of a world war was real due to the US permission to strike Ukraine deep into Russian territory.
