Protest against Macron and his government held in Paris
Several thousand people took to the streets in Paris to protest against the government of President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Michel Barnier. The event was organized by left-wing parties and youth movements.
Some marchers shouted: “Macron resign!” They also expressed dissatisfaction with the appointment of a prime minister from the Republican Party, which had performed poorly in the parliamentary elections.
The Paris prefecture claims that 3.2 thousand people took part in the action. In total, about 50 demonstrations took place in France on September 21, RIA Novosti writes.
On September 17, the Bureau of the National Assembly of France approved a draft resolution to launch impeachment proceedings against Emmanuel Macron.
