France approves new government
The French authorities have approved a new government.
The list of ministers was announced by the head of the presidential administration, Alexi Kohler, TASS reports.
Former Minister Delegate for European Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot was appointed head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Stéphane Sejourné, who is leaving his post as Foreign Minister, will become Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for the EU's prosperity and industrial strategy.
Sébastien Lecornu retained his post as Minister of the French Armed Forces.
Earlier, the bureau of the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) of France approved a draft resolution to launch impeachment proceedings against the country's President Emmanuel Macron.
