Russian Embassy: Pakistan Car Bombing Was Targeted Attack on Police
The car bombing in Pakistan was a targeted attack on police officers. The criminals did not target diplomatic personnel, the Russian Embassy told RT.
“According to Pakistani sources, it was indeed an improvised explosive device,” the press service added.
On September 22, in Pakistan, a vehicle escorting the delegation, in which Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev was located, was blown up by an explosive device. Representatives of the diplomatic corps were not injured.
At least one police officer was killed and four others were wounded. Police say the attack targeted a group of diplomats.
