Lebanon Calls on UN to Stop Israeli 'Aggression' Against Country
Lebanon calls on the UN to stop Israel's “aggression” against the country, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said.
“We call on the United Nations, the Security Council and active countries to stand up for the truth and deter aggression,” Lebanon 24 quoted him as saying at a cabinet meeting.
Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern that Lebanon could become a “new Gaza.”
On September 20, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Beirut, killing 45 people.
