London court refuses to take Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmytruk into custody
A London court has not taken into custody Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmitruk, who is being hunted by the Ukrainian authorities, sources told STRANA.ua.
“A London court released him on an extradition request and refused to take him into custody. The next court hearing is in a month,” the publication writes.
On September 24, Dmitruk, who claimed that the SBU was hunting him, was detained in London.
Earlier, the deputy admitted that SBU officers tried to eliminate him at least twice.
Kyiv is asking several countries to extradite Dmitruk, who has fled the country and spoken out in defense of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
