German Defense Minister: Russian nuclear doctrine will not change German policy

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany will go its own way, despite the update of Russia's nuclear doctrine. He said Berlin would make it clear that “NATO is ready.”

“There is no need to comment on this at all. Tomorrow [из Москвы] there will be something else. We are going our way, we are doing what we think is right to make it clear that NATO is ready,” TASS quotes Pistorius.

On September 25, at a meeting of the permanent meeting of the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed in the updated nuclear doctrine to consider aggression against the country by a non-nuclear state with the participation of a nuclear one as their joint attack on Russia.
