An MQ-9 Reaper drone came dangerously close to a Russian Aerospace Forces Su-34 aircraft in Syria

An MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle of the US-led “anti-terrorist coalition” came dangerously close to a Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria.

This was reported by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in Syria, Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk.

“In the Idlib de-escalation zone, there was a dangerous approach between the MQ-9 reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle of the coalition and the Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces,” he said.

Ignasyuk added that thanks to the timely measures taken by the Russian pilots, a collision was avoided.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked four militant bases in two provinces of Syria.
