Medvedev: small NATO countries will remain a “wet spot” in a conflict with Russia
Russia’s response to the preemptive strike on its territory being discussed by some NATO countries will leave only a “wet spot” from these states.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, speaking about the West’s reaction to the updated nuclear doctrine and the corresponding statements of some countries.
“…When such statements are made, people should take into account only one thing: in the event of… the use of tactical nuclear weapons by Russia in relation to individual states that allow themselves such statements, they will simply be a wet spot,” he said in an interview with TASS.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Russia's update of its nuclear doctrine “irresponsible.”
