Lavrov on Putin’s words on nuclear doctrine: we proceed from the fact that we were heard
Russia proceeds from the fact that the words of head of state Vladimir Putin on nuclear doctrine were heard.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made a statement about this at a press conference following participation in the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
“When we say something publicly, especially when the president speaks publicly, we assume that those who are interested in our approaches hear it,” Lavrov said.
The minister added that it will be possible to draw conclusions about how they understood what they heard in the West after a decision is made on the issue of authorizing Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia.
Also during his speech, Lavrov said that it makes no sense to fight a nuclear power like Russia.
