Lebanon declares three days of mourning for fallen Hezbollah leader
Three days of mourning for the leader of the Shiite Hezbollah movement, killed on September 27 as a result of an Israeli airstrike, were announced in Lebanon.
This was announced after an emergency meeting of the government of the republic by its chairman Najib Mikati. He called on citizens to unite in the face of the danger looming over Lebanon.
“We must approach this challenge responsibly and put aside political differences. Our unity is the most powerful weapon against Israel,” TASS quotes him as saying.
Earlier it was reported about a five-day mourning for the deceased Hezbollah leader in Iran. Mourning was also declared in Iraq.
