NYT: Trump assassin accused pleads not guilty

Ryan Root, who is accused of attempting to assassinate US presidential candidate Donald Trump, refused to admit his guilt in court.

A man accused of plotting an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at one of his Florida golf courses pleaded not guilty Monday during a brief appearance in federal court.

On September 15, Trump was assassinated while playing golf. It later became known that the suspect in the attack is 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Ruth.

Earlier it became known that he was charged with attempting to assassinate Trump, whom he had been tracking for more than a month.
