The Israeli army announced the start of a ground operation in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army said its troops have launched limited ground raids against Hezbollah targets in the border area in southern Lebanon.
Information about this appeared on the IDF Telegram channel.
“In accordance with the decision of the political echelon, several hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized and targeted ground raids based on accurate intelligence information against … Hezbollah facilities and infrastructure in southern Lebanon,” the statement said.
It is noted that the targets are located in villages close to the border and pose a “threat” to Israeli communities in northern Israel.
Earlier, Ynet wrote that the Israeli authorities approved the “next stage” of the operation in Lebanon.
Israel also called on Beirut residents to evacuate several buildings before the strike.
